Lady Luck is an abstract piece rendered off of hole ten at Riviera. I decided to create this piece after caddying for Amy Alcott, who shared that hole ten is her favorite at Riviera because it takes away the ego. To get onto the green in a good position, you have to approach from the front, take a shorter club, and play it up the left side — not the right, where the ego wants to go. You have to kill the ego, play the approach to the opening of the green, and let the tilt of the green do the work. I named it Lady Luck as a misnomer — a nod to Amy being a betting woman and in defiance of anyone who thinks this hole is about luck rather than strategy. She wins again.
